Excessive Sweating

Sweating is expected in some situations like high temperatures or physical movement, but sometimes excessive sweating happens for other reasons. Excessive sweating, a.k.a hyperhidrosis, can occur due to obesity, pregnancy, neurological disorders, thyroid hormone dysfunction, or even certain medications.

Unfortunately, no one cause can be identified, and many people fall under the primary hyperhidrosis category. Treatments are offered like topical therapies, iontophoresis, or injection of botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin is an effective way to treat excessive sweating. It works on the sweat glands and helps reduce sweat. These results last for anywhere between four to six months!
