Laser Hair Reduction
What is laser hair reduction?
LHR is a method of getting rid of unwanted hair on the face and body and is suitable for both men & women. The laser beam gently penetrates your skin to target and reduce unwanted hair follicles. After a series of multiple sessions, you will notice a reduction in hair thickness and density.
It is a non-invasive treatment and has grown immensely in popularity over the recent years, deservedly!
We use the latest technology from Spain, which is a Quadruple Laser with US-FDA approval. It is one of the quickest, most painless laser hair reduction technologies.
Before & After
Before & After
Excessive body hair is an embarrassing concern faced by many women. The cause may be due to genetics or underlying hormonal imbalances.
Please keep in mind that this is laser hair reduction and not laser hair removal.
LHR treatment will include the following:
- One-on-one consultation with the dermatologist
- An investigation into the root cause of unwanted hair growth
- Customisation of the treatment plan
- Pre-care guidance
- Treatment
- After-care support and follow-ups
Here are the steps you can expect during a session of LHR treatment:
- Trained therapists will shave the target area and apply a cooling gel before the laser treatment.
- An experienced doctor will customise the parameters of the laser beam according to your skin and hair type.
- The therapist will divide the target area into sections.
- A handheld laser device is used over the target area to eliminate unwanted hair follicles.
- At the end of the procedure, the therapist will apply a cold compress and a moisturiser to alleviate any discomfort or redness. In case it is an exposed body part, sunscreen is applied.
However, it is not advisable for pregnant women and young adults (undergoing puberty) as they may be experiencing significant hormonal changes during these stages. Laser hair reduction can be begun safely one year after menarche.
- Avoid the sun at least for the next two days.
- Be liberal with your moisturisers and sunscreens.
- You can resume all your regular activities post the session as there is no downtime!
It’s not recommended to do threading/waxing/plucking in between your laser sessions.
You can shave in between your laser sessions.
