IPL Treatment
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which is a type of light therapy. It is used for various skin treatments and aesthetic purposes, such as photorejuvenation, hair removal, and acne.
IPL is used for the following:
- Birthmarks
- Acne
- Stretch marks
- Age spots
- Fine wrinkles
- Freckles
- Scars
- Unwanted hair
- Uneven skin tone
- Open pores
- Uneven skin texture
- Redness
- Ageing signs
- Pigmentation
IPL differentiates from lasers as it emits more than one wavelength of pulsating light, treating a range of skin conditions simultaneously.
The IPL procedure will first start with a cooling gel being applied to the area. Dr. Nishita will then be using the handheld device to deliver the light therapy. A slight heat will be felt, along with a minor pinching sensation.
Post-treatment, a cool pack is applied, followed by a moisturiser and sunscreen.
It is a procedure without any downtime, and you can resume your daily activities almost immediately.
